LIVING WATERS I

The theme of water runs consistently throughout the Bible, serving as a powerful symbol of life. This motif is introduced in the second verse of Genesis (1:2), where "the Spirit of God moved over the water" as the earth was formless and void. Later in the Garden of Eden narrative (Gen 2:10-14), a river flows through the garden to nourish it. Finally, in the book of Revelation (22:1-3), water is once again mentioned as the source of life, with a river flowing from the throne of God.

Water is fundamental to all life on earth, as no human, animal, or plant can survive without it. It is the dominant element on our planet, and in the present painting, the sea with its dynamic and lively waves serves as a potent symbol of this life-giving force. The wave is also an expression of God's power, representing the endless movement of the water and reflecting eternity.

Through the use of augmented reality, the painting comes to life, further emphasizing the dynamic and perpetual nature of the wave and its significance as a symbol of the divine.
