Painting extended through augmented reality, sound, and light

I make large-scale paintings that continue past the surface. Through augmented reality, sound, and subtle movement, the canvas becomes a field that unfolds over time rather than an image taken in at once. The physical painted surface is never replaced, it is the gate the added layers move through.

The work sits between the material and the immaterial: encounters that ask for attention, and return depth in exchange for it.
